I work as a Licensed Professional Counselor with a specialization in the areas of family violence and sexual abuse. While searching for an answer to a physical problem I had several years ago, I literally stumbled over EFT. I tried the traditional medical approach and was told that there was no cure for my problem, only symptom-reduction techniques. So I began looking into alternatives. I went to a naturopath who gave me some hope, some supplements and some websites to look at. One of these websites was mercola.com  with a link to the official EFT website. I was fascinated with energy treatment ideas. I began to study the extensive website and eventually ordered the training materials. By addressing and resolving the disruptions in my energy system, I brought to an end a 10-year physical problem that I had been told by medical doctors was impossible to change.

Working at a crisis center has given me opportunities to develop my skills with EFT and to test its effectiveness with clients who have varied and complicated histories. People who have endured emotional, physical and sexual abuse often have physical problems that accompany their emotional distress. I find that EFT is extremely effective in addressing the various forms of these related issues.
